Senior AI Solution Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking to hire a Senior AI Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of advanced AI solutions that transform how enterprises operate.

This is a highly hands-on and strategic role for an experienced AI professional who can bridge applied AI research, solution architecture, software engineering and real-world business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with enterprise teams to understand complex workflows, identify high-value opportunities for AI and design scalable systems that can move rapidly from concept into production.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within China-based AI applied research labs, AI research organisations or advanced AI technology companies, with a strong track record of translating cutting-edge research into practical, production-ready solutions.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working close to customers and engineering teams, and taking ownership of AI systems from initial architecture through deployment and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI solutions aligned with enterprise workflows, business objectives and operational requirements.
• Translate complex business problems into practical AI system architectures and deployment strategies.
• Design AI-powered workflows, intelligent agents and agentic systems that can automate and enhance enterprise operations.
• Evaluate and select appropriate foundation models, LLMs, multimodal models, AI agents, retrieval systems and supporting technologies.
• Work closely with engineering teams to turn AI concepts and prototypes into robust production systems.
• Analyse existing processes, identify operational bottlenecks and determine where AI can create measurable business value.
• Develop scalable architectures covering model orchestration, data pipelines, APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation and monitoring.
• Work with emerging AI technologies and continuously assess new models, frameworks and research developments.
• Collaborate directly with senior client stakeholders, engineers and operational teams to understand requirements and shape solutions.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design and architecture discussions across multiple AI transformation projects.
• Establish appropriate evaluation frameworks to measure model performance, reliability, accuracy, latency and business impact.
• Ensure AI solutions are designed for adaptability as models and underlying technologies evolve.
• Support rapid deployment, testing and iteration of AI systems in live enterprise environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineers and other technical team members.
• Maintain strong awareness of developments in global AI research, particularly advances emerging from leading Chinese and international AI research communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Significant professional experience in AI solution architecture, applied AI, machine learning engineering or AI research and deployment.
• Strong experience designing and implementing production-grade AI systems.
• Background in a China-based AI applied research lab, AI research organisation, leading AI technology company or equivalent advanced AI environment is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI and modern AI application architectures.
• Experience with technologies such as RAG, vector databases, model orchestration, AI agents, APIs and model evaluation.
• Strong software engineering capabilities, preferably with Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience taking AI solutions from research or prototype stage through production deployment.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and scalable software architecture.
• Ability to work across both technical and business environments and communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and technologies evolve rapidly.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex projects and deliver measurable outcomes.

You will have significant ownership and the opportunity to work on complex AI transformation initiatives where the objective is not simply to introduce AI, but to fundamentally improve how businesses operate.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates
