About the Role
PartnerX is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with strong experience in Oil & Gas contracting and the Middle East market.
This is a strategic, hands-on finance leadership role for a seasoned CFO who can work alongside the existing finance team and provide senior-level guidance across financial planning, cash flow management, commercial decision-making, governance and business performance.
The successful candidate will focus on strengthening the organisation’s financial framework, improving financial visibility and supporting sustainable business growth, while the internal accounting team continues to manage day-to-day accounting and statutory activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s financial planning, annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, ensuring management has clear visibility of financial performance and future requirements.
Develop and deliver monthly management reporting, financial dashboards, KPIs and performance analysis for senior leadership.
Analyse financial performance across projects, customers, business units and commercial activities, identifying risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, receivables, payables and overall liquidity to support the company’s financial stability.
Provide strategic advice on investment opportunities, capital expenditure, commercial initiatives and business expansion plans.
Manage and strengthen relationships with banks, financial institutions and other funding partners, supporting financing and funding requirements.
Review and enhance financial processes, governance frameworks, internal controls and management reporting.
Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support informed commercial and strategic decision-making.
Review and optimise the company’s ERP and financial systems to improve automation, reporting, data quality and business intelligence.
Identify financial risks and opportunities proactively and recommend appropriate actions to management.

Working Arrangement
The Fractional CFO will work closely with the internal finance and accounting team, providing strategic oversight and senior financial leadership while allowing the existing team to continue managing routine accounting, bookkeeping and statutory reporting.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, operating at an executive level and identifying financial risks and opportunities without requiring significant supervision.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a senior finance professional with:
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or senior finance leader
- Previous experience within Oil & Gas contracting, engineering, construction or a project-based environment
- Strong understanding of the Middle East business environment
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong expertise in cash flow and working capital management
- Experience managing banking relationships and financing requirements
- Strong commercial and strategic finance capabilities
- Experience improving financial controls, reporting and processes
- Understanding of ERP systems, financial automation and business intelligence
- Ability to work effectively with business owners, senior leadership and finance teams
- Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
