About the Role
Our client, a leading specialist alternative asset manager, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Executive Director – Investor Solutions & Capital Raising to lead its fundraising, investor relations, and business development activities.
This senior leadership position will play a pivotal role in driving capital formation, expanding investor networks, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the firm’s long-term growth strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to enhance assets under management (AUM), strengthen market positioning, and support the development of innovative investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Lead fundraising initiatives across investment funds, co-investment opportunities, and proprietary strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and distribution partners across the GCC and international markets.
- Oversee investor communications, including presentations, factsheets, market updates, webinars, roadshows, and investor reporting.
- Manage RFP and DDQ processes, delivering compelling investment proposals and marketing materials.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for investors, ensuring a high standard of engagement and relationship management.
Investor Solutions & Opportunity Origination
- Identify and develop investment opportunities arising from investor and client discussions, including customised mandates and co-investment structures.
- Partner with investment leadership to design solutions aligned with investor requirements and business objectives.
- Provide market intelligence and investor insights to support investment origination and strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of new investment products based on market demand and investor feedback.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute business development strategies that support the firm’s growth objectives.
- Analyse markets, identify opportunities, monitor industry trends, and assess competitive positioning.
- Drive revenue growth through both existing product offerings and new business initiatives.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with distribution partners and strategic stakeholders.
- Expand the firm’s distribution network and enhance access to international investor markets.
Strategic Growth & Product Development
- Collaborate with senior leadership on corporate strategy, market positioning, and growth initiatives.
- Support the development of new products, pricing structures, and commercial strategies.
- Contribute to strategic partnership opportunities and broader capital formation initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align investment, product, and commercial objectives.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all investor-facing activities adhere to applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Support efficient investor onboarding processes in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Participate in governance, risk, compliance, and product development forums as required.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the business development and investor relations team.
- Establish performance objectives and monitor progress against key targets.
- Foster collaboration across investment, finance, legal, compliance, and operations functions.
- Support talent acquisition and succession planning initiatives within the team.
Candidate Profile

- Significant experience in capital raising, investor relations, fundraising, or business development within asset management, private markets, alternative investments, or related sectors.
- A strong network of institutional investors, family offices, and distribution partners.
- Proven success in fundraising, relationship management, and commercial growth initiatives.
- Strong understanding of alternative investment products and capital markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
