About the Role
Our client is an international debt collection business working alongside a leading litigation firm. They are looking for a motivated and confident Entry-Level Debt Collector to join their team in Kent.

You will communicate with customers regarding outstanding debts, understand their circumstances, and work towards suitable repayment solutions while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
Full training and support will be provided to help you develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers by phone, email, and other appropriate communication channels regarding outstanding debts.
- Discuss outstanding balances clearly and professionally with customers.
- Understand customers’ circumstances and identify appropriate repayment solutions.
- Negotiate realistic payment arrangements while working within company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and objections professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, payment arrangements, and account activity.
- Follow up on agreed payment plans and outstanding balances.
- Meet individual and team collection targets and performance objectives.
- Ensure all customer interactions are handled fairly, professionally, and with respect.
- Escalate complex cases or disputes to the appropriate team members when required.
- Follow relevant company procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Work closely with colleagues and other teams to resolve account-related issues.
Requirements
- Previous experience is not required; full training will be provided.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to listen carefully and understand different customer circumstances.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable having conversations about sensitive financial matters.
- Resilient and able to remain professional when dealing with challenging conversations.

A background in customer service, sales, call centres, financial services, or administration would be beneficial but is not essential.
