CFO FMCG Dubai – Job Overview
PartnerX is supporting a leading FMCG client in the UAE beverage industry with the appointment of an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Dubai.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who can lead financial strategy, operational finance, procurement and IT. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors and senior leadership team to support sustainable growth, improve profitability, strengthen financial governance and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Leadership
- Lead the company’s financial strategy in line with its overall business objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and management reporting.
- Manage treasury, liquidity, working capital and cash flow.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead operational finance activities across manufacturing, supply chain and commercial operations.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and support M&A-related financial assessments.
Commercial Finance and Business Partnership
- Act as a strategic finance partner to commercial, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
- Support pricing, go-to-market strategies and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Analyse margins, trade spend and channel profitability.
- Strengthen revenue assurance and identify opportunities to reduce financial leakage.
- Provide financial insights to support better commercial and operational decision-making.
Procurement and Cost Management
- Oversee the procurement function and develop strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Lead supplier negotiations and supplier performance management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement efficiency.
- Establish effective procurement governance and supplier risk management.
- Ensure procurement activities support manufacturing, supply chain and wider business objectives.
IT and Digital Transformation
- Oversee the organisation’s IT and digital finance strategy.
- Support ERP optimisation and technology improvements across the business.
- Drive finance automation, business intelligence and digital reporting initiatives.
- Oversee data governance and cybersecurity programmes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and automation.
Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Ensure strong financial controls and effective governance across the organisation.
- Oversee statutory and internal audits and ensure regulatory and tax compliance.
- Maintain appropriate risk management and internal control frameworks.
- Ensure timely statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational and business risks.
Leadership and People Development
- Lead and develop high-performing teams across Finance, Procurement and IT.
- Establish clear performance objectives and accountability across the functions.
- Support succession planning and development of high-potential talent.
- Promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- CA, CPA or ACCA qualification is required.
- 15+ years of senior finance leadership experience.
- Previous experience in FMCG, manufacturing or consumer goods is essential.
- Experience within the beverage industry would be highly advantageous.
- Strong experience across operational finance, commercial finance and strategic financial planning.
- Experience working with manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions.
- Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC financial regulations and governance.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of treasury, cash flow, working capital and cost management.
- Experience in financial governance, risk management, audit and compliance.
- M&A evaluation and post-investment integration experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and Board-level communication skills.
- Strong commercial judgement, leadership capability and strategic thinking.
