Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a talented and technically proficient Sales Engineer specializing in Lighting Solutions. This role is focused on developing relationships with clients, understanding their specific lighting requirements, and recommending customized solutions that enhance energy efficiency and meet environmental standards. The ideal candidate will possess both sales expertise and technical knowledge to support clients, drive revenue growth, and promote our diverse portfolio of lighting products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Client Engagement: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and public sectors. Engage potential clients to understand their lighting requirements and recommend the appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
- Technical Consultation: Serve as a technical advisor, explaining the benefits of energy-efficient lighting solutions, smart controls, and features, including cost savings, sustainability, and performance enhancements. Recommend customized lighting designs aligned with client needs and environmental standards.
- Proposal & Specification Development: Prepare detailed proposals that outline lighting designs, specifications, and energy-saving calculations. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to showcase the economic and environmental value of our client’s solutions. Ensure that proposals highlight client’s commitment to quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to key stakeholders, emphasizing the efficiency, durability, and technological advantages of client’s lighting solutions.
- Collaboration with Engineering Team: Partner with the engineering team to ensure that customized lighting solutions are effectively designed and implemented according to client specifications and industry’s standards.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with our solutions and identifying opportunities for future business.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on sales activities, sales performance, and revenue projections. Document interactions and sales progress using CRM software.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to keep client’s offerings competitive and relevant.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in sales within the lighting solutions industry, with expertise in LED and smart lighting systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of lighting principles, energy efficiency, and smart lighting technology for various applications, including commercial, industrial, and public spaces.
- Certifications (Preferred): Lighting Certified (LC) by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP)
- LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accreditation
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or (CEA)
- Certified Lighting Designer (CLD) or (ALD)
- Any other relevant certification in lighting design, energy management, or sustainability
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical details. Proficiency in engineering software such as DIALux or Relux is an asset.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled at assessing client needs, identifying technical challenges, and recommending effective lighting solutions.
- Self-motivated & Goal-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the UAE and surrounding regions for client engagements and on-site consultations.
