Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive the successful orchestration and delivery of your projects through efficient management of internal and external stakeholders
- Manage a team of direct reports with ongoing mentorship and guidance toward project and client management
- Deputize for the Senior Project Director when they are not in office, leading and managing the Project teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Competency to manage complex large-scale projects with numerous interdependent workstreams and stakeholders
- Successfully drive and nurture client relationships.
- Monitor the critical path closely, ensuring there is no slippage, and escalate and manage any issues arising, giving the assurance that project timelines are always adhered to.
- Conduct regular client meetings to provide project status updates, present key outputs, along with relevant stakeholders, with the drive and the ability to add value to the project.
- Produce and oversee regular project reports to the client and key stakeholders (daily/weekly/monthly/milestone completion)
- Review all project output in detail to ensure it aligns with the client brief and project objectives.
- Ensure attention to detail in components of day-to-day output, including but not limited to, presentations, project plans, meeting minutes and emails.
- Actively explore opportunities to add value to the project.
- Effectively and proactively manage amendments to project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate change management processes.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques (dashboard)
- Mitigate risk by foreseeing any potential upcoming issues and find a suitable solution and escalate to senior management if appropriate.
- Management of timesheet system input to ensure live project metrics are reported factually to improve business intelligence and inform manpower planning.
- Conduct thorough analyses of all strategic and design outputs within your assigned project to ensure complete alignment with client expectations and the defined scope of work deliverables.
This involves employing a critical perspective to assess the coherence and effectiveness of project
strategies and designs, guaranteeing that they not only meet but exceed client expectations. - Comprehensively understand all components of the project and execute project content for key presentations, including but not limited to research, structuring narrative flow, and highlighting
key information ensuring that each presentation is meticulously crafted to effectively convey the
project’s intricacies and essential details.
Financial:
- Clearly understand and forecast monthly/quarterly financial performance against team targets (e.g. weekly and monthly pipeline targets).
- Take ownership of all monies owed (receivables) and invoices to ensure timely client payment.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Clearly understand the contractual process, including project legal documentation, financials & proposals.
- Prepare and assign project costs for proposals, based on a thorough understanding of project scope requirements and allocation of resources to execute.
Business Development:
- Create proposals and close agreements/proposals.
- Maximize revenue opportunities successfully with existing clients.
- Input to new business responses and RFP submissions in an accurate and timely manner.
- Identify new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Team Management
- Manage and motivate the project team to deliver against timelines, budget and the highest standards of quality ensuring the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation including spreadsheets, project implementation plans, critical paths etc.
- Manage direct reports and provide mentorship and clear direction for career growth and development.
- Effective upward management: liaise effectively with Senior Management through clear communications keeping them apprised of progress and any challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
- To succeed, you will need a proven track record of project management at a senior level, gained over a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Your specific industry background will be less important than your attitude, ability, and propensity to learn quickly on the job.
- As a highly strategic and creative company with multifaceted projects we require a high level of resilience and adaptability to react quickly and effectively to day-to-day challenges.
- Professional PM qualifications would be an advantage, as would Arabic language skills. You will be highly proficient using the full Microsoft suite of products as well as Keynote.
- Experience working with government entities, from a Management Consultancy, Design or Brand Consultancy, or Event Planning and Production background is highly desirable.
